How to Add LUTs in Davinci Resolve

Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve is a popular software used widely in the Film and Video post-production industry. This tool allows users to add LUTs to their footage and adjust the look of the image based on the LUT. Whether you’re a filmmaker or an editor, color grading can make or break a video. Color is one of the essential elements in cinematography and editing. This blog will show you how to add LUTs in Davinci Resolve. Whether new to color grading or an experienced user.

Step 1: Download the LUTs

Unzip the video LUT zip file and copy the folder.

Step 2: Import the LUTs

Launch the Davinci Resolve and click the gear icon in the bottom right corner, then open the DaVinci Resolve project settings.

Navigate to the Color Management tab, and click on the Open LUT Folder button. Copy your LUTs file to the DaVinci Resolve LUT folder, and you can copy the entire LUTs folder, including cube files.

After that, back to DaVinci Resolve, and click on the Update Lists button; the LUTs are ready to be used in Davinci Resolve.
